TSDSI hosted oneM2M Technical Plenary (TP) meeting # 31, 18th to 22nd September 2017 at Courtyard by Marriott ORR hotel at Bengaluru, India. oneM2M is a global standards development organization working in IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M (Machine to Machine) space. TSDSI is Partner Type 1 of oneM2M. The oneM2M TP meetings are spread over 5 working days and have intense working sessions running in parallel to maximise the output. While TP is only for the members, oneM2M has started a tradition of keeping a day reserved as Industry Day for interaction with the local industry. Thus, Wednesday 20th September was observed as the Industry Day. TSDSI invited Indian stake holders in IoT and M2M space to share their views with the TP delegates and experts. Experts from India, from academia, industry and Government, and abroad made presentations on a variety of related topics. Two panel discussions allowed audience to hear experts’ views on IoT and M2M, the value proposition and challenges of inter-operability, testing and collaborative working. C-DOT, a member of TSDSI and oneM2M, exhibited its oneM2M based services and solutions. The Industry Day was supported by India-EU Cooperation on ICT-Related Standardisation, Policy and Legislation project as an exclusive Gold Sponsor.

TSDSI "Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India" aims at developing and promoting India-specific requirements, standardizing solutions for meeting these requirements and contributing these to international standards, contributing to global standardization in the field of telecommunications, maintaining the technical standards and other deliverables of the organization, safe-guarding the related IPR, helping create manufacturing expertise in the country, providing leadership to the developing countries (such as in South Asia, South East Asia, Africa, Middle East, etc.) in terms of their telecommunications-related standardization needs.
